How long have you been involved in music and how did you decide to start?
I started at the age of 14-15. The reason was that I already wanted to play, not just listen to my favorite songs. I was looking for myself in music and guitar was my way.

Which song do you remember most vividly from your childhood?
If only there was one. I remember whole albums. But probably a piece of Meat Loaf. An exceptional performer, and at that time (1993-94) I had a whole concert on videotape.

Who are the artists you have listened to and played the most?
Dave Murray / Adrian Smith - Maiden's guitar duo, Dave Mustaine - the riff master, Chuck Schuldiner - my biggest inspiration, Tommy Vetterli - the technical part like arpeggios, rocks and phrasing and last but not least Ritchie Blackmore.

In which musical style are you most advanced?
Jazz / Blues, Rock, Metal.

What does music give you?
The freedom to express yourself in your own way. Uniqueness. Your own language.

Why did you decide to start teaching music?
This is for me the next logical step of my musical journey. My cause is to pass on my knowledge in a fascinating and understandable way. As the saying goes, "Pass it on."

What is the most important thing to learn in music?
Understanding the meaning of music itself. As worn out as it sounds, here in music, there is also the question: "What did the author mean?". The emotion and joy of performance is also important.

What is your most valuable teaching skill?
Devotion, patience, respect and friendliness.

What is RockSchool for you?
A place where I could find like-minded people. A place with opportunities.

Which music is valuable to you?
The one that is filled with desire and emotion.

What's the most extravagant thing you've heard lately?
In recent years, a genre of "blackgaze" has emerged, including elements of black metal, shoegaze and post-rock. An interesting and original idea. It relies entirely on the atmosphere, one of my favorite elements of music.

Do you have a dream related to music?
My dream is for music never to leave me. Inspiration is everywhere, but music is something unique that everyone carries within themselves. My dream is for music to reach more and more people, regardless of genre or style.
