HISTORY
In 2018 we started working on our idea for adapted music training for visually impaired children and young people. We called this project "I see through music" and with it we apply for the Change 2018/2019 - an initiative of Nova TV and "Reach 4 Change" Foundation.
After several stages of evaluation, we reached their accelerator program, where we met with mentors and went through training and workshops to improve our projects. Subsequently, after a presentation to a jury, only 5 projects were selected to continue to the next stage - online voting. One of them was "I see through music", and at the voting itself, we collected the record for the program 57,748 votes of people sympathetic to our cause.
At the grand final, we met with two juries - children and adults. The winner was announced on the stage of the Teatro Theater and it was Rockschool! As a winner, we received financial support of BGN 30,000 to create the program for more effective and easy music education for blind children.
In the first days after the awarding, we started training our teachers and work on the equipment of a music room with additional tools and software solutions that every child can benefit from.
In November 2019, the scholarship program of the project began, in which 19 children and young people found a place after participating in a competition. They received 48 hours of individual lessons and over 80 hours of individual rehearsals. "I see through music" continues until the end of 2020, and then the second scholarship program for blind students will start.
